Against Me!

Begun by guitarist and singer Tom Gabel, Against Me! was a folk-punk cult fave in the college town of Gainesville, Florida for years before breaking into the mainstream in 2005. Initially Gabel played his songs in anarchic shows inside local laundromats. In 2003, the band signed to Fat Wreck Chords and Gabel began to move in a more rock direction. Searching For a Former Clarity came out in 2005, along with a video that was a far cry from the group's anarchy-punk roots.
