Biography
A professional musician since he was a teenager, Anderson is best known for his more than twenty-year tenure with the beloved, genre-smashing NRBQ. Anderson was signed to Chess Records as a teen with his band the Wildweeds, who charted regionally and were quite popular in his native Connecticut. He went on to sing, write songs and play guitar with NRBQ. A formidable guitarist held in high regard by his peers, he plays everything from Free Jazz to hard-twanging country with seat-of-the-pants abandon and almost casual virtuosity. After leaving NRBQ in the '90s, Anderson began a career as a hit-making songwriter in Nashville.
