Released:
Label: VP / Greensleeves
Alborosie's highly anticipated major-label debut draws on the golden age of roots reggae. After the acclaimed European release "Soul Pirate" stormed the scene in 2007, the Sicilian-born reggae star was signed by Greensleeves. Using heavy bass and King Tubby's original analog reverb machine, Albo produced and even played most of the instruments here. He includes "Kingston Town" and "Kingdom of Zion," both of which were popular tracks on Soul Pirate, along with new installments "Rub A Dub Style," "Humbleness" and a remake of the Steel Pulse classic "Steppin Out."
