As with the television series Buffy the Vampire Slayer, the soundtrack and score for the Twilight Saga have been split into two collections. If you're looking for all the hip alt-rock that pops up in the movie, you're in the wrong place. That's the soundtrack. This release, the score, features Alexandre Desplat's moody, gothic compositions, which are dominated by piano and thick, sweeping strings that frequently descend into terror dread. There are a few intensely percussive moments as well.
