The fact that singer and songwriter Stacy Jones previously served time in Veruca Salt and Letters to Cleo makes a whole lot of sense. Fight the Frequency, as well as every other record in American Hi-Fi's discography, revels in uber-poppy, '90s-bred alternative rock. Just two songs in and you'll surely be reminiscing about high-school buzz bands like School of Fish, Too Much Joy, Material Issue and Dada. Then again, if you didn't even exist when such bands rocked our fine planet, then just note this: American Hi-Fi contain three-quarters of Miley Cyrus' backing band. Kind of strange, right?
