Lee's endlessly soulful folk-pop is gaining the sort of attention Norah Jones garnered when the world caught up to her in the early 2000s. Supply and Demand is Lee's second proper album, and such songs as "Freedom," the title cut, the opener -- hell, pretty much all of them -- prove the dude has done his homework. Fans of Jack Johnson's beach party acoustica will eat this up, but the best thing about Lee is that although he may fit into that somewhat confining genre of modern folk-pop, he goes way beyond it and his influences (Prine, Dylan, Al Green, etc.) run deeper than those of most purveyors of the form.
