Released: May 2004
Kidjo seems to have finally found her feet on her third album to explore the music of the African diaspora. While her vocal style was a bit overheated for the Brazilian sounds on 2002's Black Ivory Soul, salsa, calypso and ska really fit her. Even when she's belting it out, Oyaya! remains cool and dynamic.
