Flamenco music has its roots in India, where the Roma people who created it can trace their ancestors. That's the intriguing thesis statement around which consummate Traveller Anoushka Shankar and a host of master guests shape a musical-geographical dialogue. And with a few slightly clunky yet still lovely exceptions (like "Boy Meets Girl," a lively chat in two different languages), the results are elegant and surprisingly organic -- particularly among the carefully folded rhythms of "Ishq," the thrilling title track and "Casi Uno," a gorgeous duet that puts Concha Buika at the forefront.
