Anson Funderburgh and the Rockets

Lean, hard-shuffling Texas Blues that makes it happen for the audience three hundred nights a year, from nightclubs to festival stages the world over. The band is fronted by Funderburgh on guitar and Sam Meyers on vocals and harmonica. Meyers is a veteran of the chitlin circuit, where he worked for years as a sideman to folks such as Elmore James. Funderburgh is an endlessly inventive guitarist with a crisp-toned, classically minimalist style.
