Anti Pop Consortium

Anti Pop Consortium

Biography

A four man squad out of NYC, the aptly-named Anti Pop Consortium meld streaming intellectual prose with decisively abstract beats and subversive sound effects. Comprising E. Blaize on production with Beans, M. Sayyid, and Priest on the mic, the group formed in '97 at the infamous Nuyorican Theatre. After projects with outer-world labels like Wordsound and Jazz Fudge, they teamed up with 75 Ark in 2000 and released their critically acclaimed debut LP Tragic Epilogue.
