Biography

On his solo compositions, Shadowfax's former keyboardist opens up, tossing off ethnic-inspired melodies backed by guitar and a collage of percussion. Chakmakian's playing beautifully combines aspects of jazz improvisation with Middle Eastern melodies in a way that's both unusual and accessible.
