Biography

Arturo Sandoval came to prominence as a trumpet-playing monster with the Cuban jazz band Irakere. Graced with a technique that rivals that of Dizzy Gillespie, he's chosen to play light jazz versions of popular tunes since his defection, as well as the fiery Afro-Cuban numbers that have made him a star around the world.
