Call it her Control or maybe even her My December, but know this: Guilty Pleasure marks Ashley Tisdale's break from her wholesome Disney image. While she doesn't quite pull off edgy, the album is a far cry from the tooth-aching earnestness of HSM and is a well-executed departure. But with her new look and kind of Hot Topic sound, Tisdale might at first get confused with that other dark and twisty Ashlee -- until the album veers off on fascinating detours into '90s alt-rock ("Hot Mess") and t.A.T.u.-esue synth-pop ("How Do You Love Someone").
