Relying less on the Auto-Tune gimmickry of its infamous Katy Perry cover, "I Kissed a Girl," the crabcore unit from Westerville, Ohio, melds metalcore, emo, piano dinks, club synths, industrial throb, chanted hardcore backup choruses, contemporary R&B and hip-hop, for better or for worse, on its second release. There's probably even some old-timey ukulele music in there somewhere for folks willing to look hard enough. Regardless of the hatred the band seems to elicit pretty often, "Smokahontas" and "Renob, Nevada" are fun, fun, fun.
