Lavigne's second record falls closer to ground broken by Alanis Morissette than Let Go did, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. Heavier is often better. Lavigne's angry teen appeal is still very much a part of the show; the songs are just a little deeper this time around. And they sound great loud.
