Biography
Lumped in with the New York electroclash scene, Baby Dayliner is manna from
hipster heaven, thanks mainly to his karaoke-style live set which sees him
take to the stage armed with little more than a technology-stuffed suitcase.
His resolutely stripped-down approach to fashioning electronic backing
tracks, along with his deadpan delivery, has seen him compared to Joy
Division's Ian Curtis, but maybe a better comparison is a Seed-less Nick
Cave. Dayliner's debut album, High Heart & Low Estate, first appeared
in 2002 and was re-released by Brassland in 2004.
