Bakithi Kumalo

No stranger to cross-cultural collaborations (having played on Paul Simon's Graceland), bassist Kumalo continues on a similar path in his work as a leader. The results are slick and streamlined, as he mixes vocals and rhythms from his native South Africa with synthesizers, turntables, and programmed beats.
