They're a hugely long-running banda act who've made their way without recording corridos (!) and while wearing Native American garb in all their live appearances. Hardly a formula success, and Banda Cuisillos have had their ups and downs, but their 22nd album dropped at an unquestionably up moment for the group. Mil Heridas spawned a massive hit in 2007, and on 2008's Vive y Dejame Vivir, they hit the jackpot again with the brilliant, fiercely delivered title track. That's not the only high, though: these veterans sound reinvigorated across the board. Aplausos!
