On his third solo outing, Bart Davenport reveals much more intimacy than 2003's Game Preserve. Maroon Cocoon sounds more like a folkie's version of Cucumber Castle- era Bee Gees. Davenport dips into his acoustic bossa nova thing on "Clara," but songs like "Glendale" chime with 12-string glory.
