People, the bass doesn't get wickeder than in a Bassnectar set, and this newest album is a double-threat, stacking the decks with a series of hip-hop emcees who find themselves caught, looped and syncopated into the DJ's fractured sonic universe. "Kick It Complex" seems to be the ethos of the album, but that doesn't mean you won't dance; Lorin's sound appeals to both mind and booty, with a dose of not-so-subtle social justice thrown in. He also throws love towards female emcees, which makes him even more of a rarity.
