What began as the goth godfathers' long-awaited reunion at 2005's Coachella has evolved into Bauhaus' first studio album in 25 years -- and already their last due to band squabbling. Bauhaus were the first to coin gothic language and imagery, and Go Away White shows the English band returning to the shadowy grave from whence it came. Singer Peter Murphy's affecting slither and howl is intact, while the other three members (who went on to form Love and Rockets) still ooze a loose, angular post-punk. It's as if hardly any time has passed. Perhaps they really are immortal vampires.
