The long-running Polish extreme metal unit's seventh studio album, Demigod features all the double bass thrum, cookie monster growling and blurrily picked guitars any self-respecting fan of heavy metal that comes directly from the deepest pit of hell could ask for. Still, by this point, Behemoth had turned almost entirely into a death metal band, and their music is more closely related to the math-busting weirdness of Gorguts than the black metal of their past. Appropriately, Nile guitarist Karl Sanders makes a guest appearance on "XUL."
