BAD II -- former Clash-man Mick Jones' sequel to Big Audio Dynamite -- bottled the sound of 1991 with their UK smash "Rush," the cornerstone to this underrated album. Problem is, despite hitting the Top 40, it seemed like nobody stateside knew about the song or the album. Block-rocking breaks, scratchy electronics, acoustic guitars over sampled beats, pastiche arrangement (akin to the Dust Bros on Paul's Boutique) and Jones' inimitable yowl were all elemental to the era, which is what gives The Globe such a reminiscent glow.
