Evans has a freewheeling, how-can-he-pick-that-fast style on the banjo. He uses it covering Bluegrass standards and originals with earthy melodies. He gets great assistance from a variety of performers including mandolin player Mike Compton, guitarist David Grier, and fiddler Stuart Duncan.
