We Are Tonight

How do you feel about country albums that cop slang from Jersey Shore, cover a Jack Johnson hit and differentiate that cover by adding 16 bars of rapping to its tail end? If you responded positively to any of those items, then boy does Billy Currington have a country album for you. "Hey Girl" and the title track are both great singles, but it's the deep cuts that stand out: "23 Degrees and South," for one, attempts some Lionel-esque country-soul, and "Hard to Be a Hippie" features, if nothing else, a nice Willie Nelson verse.
