Label: New Door Records
Here's the ninth album from Billy Ray Cyrus, the formerly mullet-tressed country singer who spawned the line dance craze with his 1992 hit "Achy Breaky Heart." No, he will never live it down. But judging from the playful, Kid Rock-inspired, southern boogie of "I Want My Mullet Back," maybe Cyrus would rather live it up. With ample help from George Jones and the lovely Loretta Lynn on the honky-tonk homage "Country Music Has the Blues" and the quasi-political "A Pain in the Gas," Cyrus sounds right at home here.
