Bastards collects an assortment of remixes that accompanied Bjork's Biophilia. True to its title, it's a motley collection, from the various approaches to beatsmithing practiced by Hudson Mohawke, 16-Bit and others to two Syrian dabke makeovers from Omar Souleyman. Current Value drops metallic, surprisingly traditional dubstep, while Death Grips put a new twist on glitch-ridden hip-hop; Matthew Herbert offers three wildly different, equally scabrous tracks. Alva Noto's "Dark Matter" is a spooky highlight, and These New Puritans triumph with a funereal Pacific Islands sample.
