Bernard Fevre's third album as Black Disco references the same drum machine as another, much more famous, 2008 album, but that doesn't mean the French producer has gone West, as it were. The Euro-disco icon still leans toward Italy with these six tracks of shuddering arpeggios, reverbed atmospherics and spooky howls. A bit like Hercules and Love Affair gone cryogenic, these black-lit retro anthems are all liquid funk and gothic grandeur -- and, yeah, they're pretty heartbreakingly gorgeous.
