Blackmore's Night

About Blackmore's Night

Deep Purple and Rainbow guitarist Ritchie Blackmore brings the music of the Ren faire to life. Medieval folk rock is played on both ancient and modern instruments, performed by a band decked out in period gear and backing vocals provided by a pair dubbed Sisters of the Moon. Perhaps the best thing about Blackmore's Night is the flautist/fiddle-player named Lord Wolfhurst. Since launching the project in 1997, Blackmore and then-girlfriend (now-wife) Candice Night have released six studio albums and a pair of live ones amid frequent appearances at Renaissance faires the world over.
