Released:
Label: Verve Records
This is one of two records that Blossom Dearie cut for Verve Records in 1958 (the other was her career best Once upon a Summertime). The title tune isn't one of Cole Porter's finest efforts but Blossom shines elsewhere, showing off her jazz chops on standards and a couple of then new items written by Cy Coleman (who was also a favorite of Tony Bennett and Frank Sinatra). Dearie, a superior musician, is joined by her usual combo at the time: guitarist Herb Ellis, bassist Ray Brown and drummer Jo Jones.
