Bob Berg

A standout tenor and soprano saxophonist, Berg has worked as a sideman for Horace Silver, Jack McDuff, and Miles Davis among others. His quick Post Bop runs weave in and out of melodies with striking speed and complexity, even when he is laying out on funky Soul Jazz or a like-minded mainstream set. More than his sound (or tone), it's Berg's ability to channel his personal playing style in so many settings that links him to the masters of the past.
