For Teenagers Only

For Teenagers Only by Bobby Darin
Released: Sep 1960
Label: Rhino Atlantic
The suits as Atlantic Records always had their pop artists cut a lot of material so they could have something ready to yank out of the vaults at a moment's notice. So while Bobby Darin was spending 1960 working a Sinatra-supper-club vibe, Atlantic went ahead and unearthed another platter worth of his late '50s rock 'n' roll material. There aren't any real lasting hits here, but that doesn't make the set any less fun. "Pity Miss Kitty" and "Hush, Somebody's Callin' My Name" are two standouts -- Darin doesn't even sound like the same person on them.
