To anyone under the age of 40: music once came on things called records, which had two sides to them. This first side of this Bobby Darin charmer features upbeat standards on the subject of love. On the second side, our hero gets his heart stomped on and thrown into the trash. Both halves feature a jazz combo let by the tragically short-lived Bobby Scott and lush string charts written by Torrie Zitto. Darin was always a good songwriter, and his original "I Guess IâÂÂm Good For Nothin' But the Blues" fits in well with the standards.
