Biography
Begun after he had served his Bluegrass apprenticeships under Ralph Stanley and J.D. Crowe, Boone Creek was Ricky Skaggs' first group as a leader. In this group, he expanded his definition of Bluegrass to include electric instrumentation and drums. Also notable is the fact that Boone Creek member/dobro virtuoso Jerry Douglas has since gone on to become a player almost without peer.
