Biography
Best known as the frontman for Vegas rockers The Killers, Brandon Flowers took a break from the band and released his solo debut in 2010. The singer and songwriter nabbed a superstar triad of rock producers -- Brendan O'Brien, Daniel Lanois and Stuart Price -- to flesh out his sound for Flamingo. The result isn't far removed from the melodramatic arena rock that made him a star. An Anglophile and '80s connoisseur, Flowers is a flashy showman whose love for artists like Bruce Springsteen, U2, The Cars, Pet Shop Boys, Morrissey and Depeche Mode shines through as he waxes poetic about growing old, religion (he's a devout Mormon), relationship woes (he's married with kids) and, of course, his beloved Sin City.
