About Bunny Berigan

One of the finest trumpeters of the original Swing era, Bunny Berigan began his career in the mid-'30s. Recruited into Benny Goodman's orchestra for a short time, then Tommy Dorsey's, his polished pitch and spirited notes found him fronting his own orchestra in 1937. Berigan died prematurely in 1942, never reaching the potential so many envisioned for him.
