by Busta Rhymes
Released: Jun 2000
Label: Elektra Records
The album's opening phrase -- "the third celestial sphere in proximity to the sun entered a new millennium" -- lets us know that Busta is still in crazy Y2K apocalypse mode, but the next track ("Salute Da Gods") has little kids cursing for comedy, so things can't be that dire, right? "Bladow," featuring an early beat from Scott Storch, is the album's most immediate and satisfying track, but the real joy is hearing Busta Rhymes flowing over Dilla's beautiful "Show Me What You Got" and collaborating with Ghostface on the DJ Premier-produced "The Heist."
