Things have changed since pioneering emcee Busy Bee Starski exhorted young listeners in 1981 to "stay in school, graduate" because "without an education you won't get far." Despite the lyrics' quaintly positive message, Starski was a monster on the mic, and the production's rolling bongos and thumping bass line are infectious. This was Busy Bee's first solo single, and he would later claim that he never received payment.
