The Rise And Fall Of... Butch Walker And The Let's-go-out-tonites (Explicit)

The Rise And Fall Of... Butch Walker And The Let's-go-out-tonites by Butch Walker
Released: Jul 2006
Label: Epic/One Haven/Red Ink
You can forgive Butch Walker for biting T. Rex's "20th Century Boy" on his third album's opener because he totally reinvents '70s glam rock. Where yesteryear's glitter pop bands like Mud, Sweet, Kenny and Slade penned pedestrian boy-meets-girl lyrics, Walker eschews simple sha-la-la's, adding a wry wit not heard since the aforementioned T.Rex. Songs like "Bethamphetamine" and "Too Famous to Get Fully Dressed" make fun of hipsters and the MySpace generation with delight and scathing poetry.
