The Buzzcocks' debut record, released in early 1977, is as historically significant as it is a great record. Their sawing Punk-Pop contrasted sharply with the Clash's politics and the Pistols' nihilism. Perhaps more importantly, this is one of the first self-released Punk records: it inspired countless others to abandon their reliance on major labels.
