This session with vocalist McRae was the final album Tjader cut before a heart attack ended his life in 1982. There's actually a touch too much Latin jazz here; the best cuts are the straight ballads "The Visit" and "Speak Low." This is really McRae's show, but Tjader's melodic solos are exquisite -- they always were.
