Camille Dalmais' second album, an a cappella wonder titled Le Fil, was a runaway hit in her native France. On her third LP, the multilingual vocalist continues her multitracking ways (imagine Bjork with world beat and soul flourishes). "Waves" and "Sanges Sweet" are as lovely as they are freaky, but Camille has a wicked sense of humor too; check out "Money Note," her parody of modern R&B and American Idol-style histrionics. The vocal overdubs and body slaps are impressive, but her debut, Le Sac des Filles, proves that she's even better when not in Bobby McFerrin country.
