Can tones down the craziness on Future Days, for the first time delving into the ambient music that would mark their next few albums. The last record to feature Damo Suzuki (who went and got married and then joined the Jehovah Witnesses), it includes three extended, meditative tracks of pure, watery narcosis, while "Moonshake" works as something of a demented pop song. On the surface, Future Days may not appear to be the groundbreaker Tago Mago was, but that just means its charms are more subtle. It's all about the drums on this one.
