One-hit wonders from East Los Angeles who, in 1965, were one of the first Mexican American bands to hit high on the national charts. Their song? The incomparable "Land of 1000 Dances." A stompin' backbeat and a chorus of singers bellowing simple sing-a-long (and often nonsensical) lyrics fueled their sound.
