Taking Chances
Celine Dion
Released:
Nov 2007
Label:
Columbia
Returning to the studio after a blockbuster run in Vegas, Celine Dion stretches out on Taking Chances, collaborating with a host of writers and producers, including Ben Moody and David Hodges (ex-Evanescence members) and Ne-Yo. Highlights include Dion dangerously tackling Heart's 1987 hit, "Alone," as well as "Skies of L.A.," which brings an RnB, if not exactly urban, sound to the forefront; elsewhere, "Eyes On Me" boasts a Middle-Eastern flair that blends extremely well with the diva's certain je ne sais quoi. Both old and new fans will find something to enjoy here.
