Charalambides are the husband-and-wife team of Tom and Christina Carter. On this 2003 release, the Texas duo creates its most spare and haunting psychedelic music yet. Spartan melodies intertwine, and you get fragments of Christina's vocals. The tracks can be long, but their improvisational nature and controlled tension make the payoff well worth it.
