New York's Cheeseburger open their second album with a tune about wild partying that sounds not unlike The Cult (that is, after the group's mid-1980s transformation into The Doors 2.0). This is a good thing, definitely, but do you know what else is? Cheeseburger's absurd lyrics, which turn classic-rock cliches into non-sequitur parodies. Get a load of this fine slice of poetry: "Well, I'm a winner/ Yeah, I've been kicked around/ I had my balls up in a sling /I'm a winner when I get knocked down."
