Chetes' second solo album boasts the same solid melodic sense that made Blanco Facil such an engaging debut. Taken together, these songs don't quite add up to a spectacular album -- Garcia's voice can slide into whiny territory on occasion, while the songs rarely rise above the chummy realms of average pop-rock. (He could stand a dose of angst, or maybe anger.) Still, there's enough to like: He's at his best on the quieter numbers like the enchanting "Querer" and "Destino," which exists in some netherworld between Radiohead and Supertramp.
