These Brooklyn-based gringos strap on their surf guitars (and cuatros!), fire up their vintage organs and rock the house with the beautifully mongrel sound of chicha -- Amazonian psychedelic music from the 1960s. Retro? Yes. Ridiculously fun? Check. It bounces like a cumbia, but it also wanders and crashes and wigs out periodically in fits of distorted organ.
