About Chris August

A former Christian bookstore employee who cops to selling a lot of Rachael Lampa and VeggieTales CDs, Chris August made an indie record in his bedroom and was signed to Geffen Records at the tender age of 22. After working with Babyface, Robin Thicke and Ashlee Simpson (he played keys for Jessica's little sis for about a year), a shake-up at the label found him back home in Texas without a deal. His song "Starry Night," from his debut disc, marks a spiritual reawakening that led to a deal with Word Records. No Far Away introduced August to the world in August 2010.
